Free As A Dove
Michael Pinder

One day I asked aloud,
Amidst the dark confusion
I asked where could be found the answer to our problems?
And then out of the dark, a voice was saying, "Listen"
Listen to your heart
We are all wise within

And only you
Only you can change the way you are
And only you can find your morning start
Through the day while you're working,
Do your hands feel like clay?
In the night when you're loving
Do you give your love away?
Or save it for a rainy day?

Only you, only you can change the way you feel
And only you can beat the karmic wheel
Through the day when you're thinking
Do you know who you are?
In the night while you're dreaming
Do you know where you are?
Is your home a distant star?

Keep your head wide open
Do not fall for the same old things that you did before

This world's cold
Religions they'll lead you anywhere
But the secret door
On your second floor

This time around, you've got to see from the highest mountain
And then you'll find you've got to feel like the depths of the sea

All light and sound is perpetual motion
If you understand then one day you'll be free
Free as a dove

You'll Make It Through
Michael Pinder

If you're caught in darkness
Holding on for dear life
Remember where you started and how you knew what was right
And now if you're lonely, and the feeling ain't right

Hold on, don't give in
You'll make it through the night
Hold on
You'll make it through this life

Living all together is the biggest challenge ever
Someone's gonna come and set you right
Spread your wings and love will guide your flight
Get those good things into your life
You've got the real thing, and only love can bring
An ending to these troubled times

If your heart is heavy
And you live in fear
There's a time to be lonely
And a time to get clear
Let these words we're singing
Reach your inner ear

Hold on, don't give in
You'll make it through the night
Hold on
You'll make it through this life

I Only Want To Love You
Michael Pinder

Looking back, sometimes I wondered
Who held the key to your heart
Now I know, through places I travelled
Our Love's unraveled a chart

In my life I've waited
For a chance to really make it
Something written into my stars
Past lives that I've lived
Only lead up to a Gift
Of speaking out my thoughts in my songs

I only want to love you
I only want to care
I'd like a friend to talk to
My feelings are to share my life with someone
I hope it's you and that you'll care

Our imagination is a secret of creation
Given to us right at the start
And our Destination is reaching for salvation
From the city streets we've outgrown

I only want to love you
I only want to care
I'd like a friend to talk to
My feelings are to share my life with someone
I hope it's you and that you'll care

I only want to love you
So will you play this song again?

Someone To Believe In
Michael Pinder

I've travelled this illusion
Light show extraordinaire
Been searchin' for a reason
A "why" we all can share.

'Cause all the things they taught me
Didn't help me make it clear
It was their misunderstanding
Made all this appear

A man needs someone to believe in
Or else he's gonna blow his mind
There's something more to life than TV
You know it's gonna make you blind

I've come to this conclusion
There's one beyond compare
The source of all religion
His light has always been there

The truth that He has brought me
Did away with all my fears
And misinterpretations
Are soon to disappear

A man needs someone to receive him
When he gets to the other side
We've gotta have this growing feeling
We're a part of the Great Divine

Carry On
Michael Pinder

Your smile has been so good to me
You made my blues disappear
You helped pull me through
The darkest hours with truth and love
So live your life in bliss
And take this tender kiss for your flower
My inspiration now
Is what you gave to me every hour

Carry on, the past has gone and paid for
Solo on, through the door you're made for
Love flows on, through the gates of heaven
We are one, by the light of seven

The Saints and the Saviour have all talked about
The cause of our downfall and how to get out
The Yogis and Mystics on Spiritual Planes
The Gurus and Devas they all say the same
Spiritual Flame
Keep it Burning

In faith we'll journey on
Love's promise gets it on, oh yeah
And everyone will be sparks of the family of love
Somewhere beyond the Sun
The Lord he turned me on and on.
He said, "Be not afraid, the summer's gonna come one of these days"

Carry on, the past has gone and paid for
Solo on, through the door you're made for
Love flows on, through the gates of heaven
We are one, by the light of seven

A new thing is happening on this planet now
We're hearing the Buddha, the Christ and the Tao
The mystery of Music is mystery no more
It powers the starships
the colours of awe
It powers us all and that's all

Air

Message
Michael Pinder

Oh, I hope that I see you again
I never even caught your name
As you looked through my window pane

So I'm writing this message today
I'm thinking that you'll have a way
Of hearing the notes in my tune

Where are you going?
Where have you been?
I can imagine other worlds you have seen
Beautiful faces and music so serene

So I do hope I see you again
My universal citizen
You went as quickly as you came

You know the power
Your love is right
You have good reason
To stay out of sight
But break our illusions and help us
Be the light

The Seed
Michael Pinder

The secret of the seed
Is in the fragrance of the flower
As the petals open up
And bow their heads towards the power
In the sky were passing by
A million miles every hour
On the universal clock
It's basic rhythm is forever
And life dances and rejoices
In the knowledge of its freedom
And the
Promise of a new found destiny

The Promise
Michael Pinder

The world is full of people
Some are trying to lend a hand
To help us learn to recognize
So we can understand
That life holds many secrets
They stand before our doors
Admit the ones you're hiding now
So you may know them all

Twelve vibrations long ago are the cause
Of me and mine, and you and yours
Just let them be, and the doors will open wide
To paintings on the rocks
Gigantic Stonehenge blocks
The Pyramids and the Sphinx
The temples are the links
To lead us through our past
So we might find
Ourselves at last

The first book ever written
Was a symbol of our home
It came from solar heaven
Where our life wave was born
We came in ships a-singing
The Praise of One above
Like children in a garden
Our hearts were full of love

Ezekiel's wheels seem to be turning up now
The pillar of fire, a luminous cloud
I know I've seen them
And they do make a sound
They filled my soul with "Music of the Spheres"
It's been my goal for nine long years
To write this song; so I can say
Exactly what I believe is coming down

Oh, sweet loving music
I hear your tender call
To me you are a river
Pure love your waterfall
A tide forever bathing a rough and rocky shore
Please take us on a journey
So we can learn some more

I dream by day, I dream by night
Through coloured rays, I feel your might
And now I claim my right, son of God
Eternal life, the promise of your rainbow light.

One Step Into The Light
Michael Pinder
Note: This is a different version from the song on Octave

All the old things are returning
Cosmic circles ever turning
All the truth we've been yearning for
Life is our saviour
Saviour
Save your
Save your soul

One step into the light
One step away from night
It's the hardest step you're gonna take

The ship to take you there
Is waiting at the head
Of the stairs that lead up through your opening mind

Above the dark despair
Shines a light that we can share
Close your eyes and look up in between your brows

Then slowly breathing in
Feel the life force streaming in
Hold it there, then send it back to him

All the old things are returning
Cosmic circles ever turning
All the truth we've been yearning for
Life is our saviour
Saviour
Save your
Save your soul

The river of living breath
Is flowing through the son
He was there before the earth began

The world will drag on you
Use his love to pull you through
Find the mission of your life
And start to be

All the old things are returning
Cosmic circles ever turning
All the truth we've been yearning for
Life is our saviour
Saviour
Save your
Save your soul

There's one thing I can do
Play my Mellotron for you
Try to blow away your city blues
Your dreams are not unfound
Get your feet back on the ground
The truth will set us free
We cannot lose

We cannot lose...

We just have to choose

Island To Island
Michael Pinder

I can't take all this rain and dark cloud
I got to get to the sun
Find me a place I can go sit down, now
The cold's got me on the run

I need some time to regain my senses
Partake in a measure of fun
It took awhile but I cleared the fences
Now all my hard work is done

Island to island
In the space of a day
Grey skies to blue skies
Baby, take me away

I'm flying free as a bird on the wing
Independence is won
I wanna dance, I wanna sing
Play tropical mellotron

Pacific sunset, surf and sand
This holiday's overdue
A lonely night, enchanted land
We'll celebrate, me and you

Island to island
In the space of a day
Grey skies to blue skies
Baby, take me away

Island to island
In the space of a day [Space of a day]
Grey skies to blue skies
Baby take me away [Take me away]

Island to island
Somethings waiting for me
Sunshine and rainbows
And the deep blue sea

Island to island
In the space of a day [Space of a day]
Grey skies to blue skies
Baby take me away [Take me away]
Baby take me away
