HIGHWAY
Justin Hayward and John Lodge
It's a long, long highway
Will this road of life lead me to someone?
Who sees the world in a grain of sand?
Who holds the future in the palm of their hand?
No one else can see things like I do
It's a long, long highway
Looking for a home where the seed was sown
And the harvest was young
Will this road of life lead me to someone, someone?
The rays of sun and the light of dawn
My inspiration since the day I was born
No one else can see things like I do
It's a long, long highway
But don't make the start on an empty heart
When you think you've begun
Let the road of life lead you to someone, someone
Nothing is serious to me
I live for what will be
I can always be a dreamer
So trust your heart
Don't fall apart, you'll see
At your journey's end
You will find a friend in me
It's a long, long highway
Will this road of life lead me to someone?
You touched the dream that was in your eyes
You took so long only to realise
No one else can love you like I do
It's a long, long highway
Looking for a home where the seed was sown
And my harvest was young
Will this road of life lead me to someone?
It's a long, long highway
But don't make a start
On an empty heart
It's a long, long highway
Let this road of life lead you to someone, someone

Found on the "Say It With Love" CD single, "Highway" was the first song recorded for the Keys of the Kingdom album. The song never made it to the album. Now found on two compilations (Time Traveller and Anthology), as well as the foreign release of Strange Times (1999) this memorable song has finally found its audience.

THIS IS THE MOMENT
Found on the Album "Soccer Rocks the Globe"
Recorded for the 1994 World games
Frank Wildhorn and Leslie Bricusse
This is the moment
This is the day
This is the moment
When I know I'm on my way
Every endeavor
I have made ever
Is coming into play
Is here and now today
This is the moment
This is the time
When the momentum and
The moment are in rhyme
Give me this moment
My precious chance
I'll gather up my best
And make some sense at last
This is the moment
When all I've done
All of the dreaming
Scheming and screaming
Becomes one
This is the day
Just see it shine
When all I've lived for
Becomes mine
This is the moment
This is the hour
When I can open up
Tomorrow like a flower
And put my hand to
Everything I planned to
Fulfil my grand design
See all my stars align
This is the moment
My final test
Destiny beckoned
I never reckoned
Second best
I won't look down
I must not fall
This is the moment
The sweetest moment of them all
This is the moment
So damn all the odds
This day or never
I'll sit forever with the gods
When I look back
I will recall
Moment for moment
This was the moment
The greatest moment of them all

What Child Is This?
Traditional (1992)
What child is this, who, laid to rest
On Mary's lap, is sleeping?
Whom angels greet with anthems sweet
While shepherds watch are keeping
This, this is Christ the King
Whom shepherds guard and angels sing
Haste, haste to bring him laud
The babe, the son of Mary
This, this is Christ the King,
Whom shepherds guard and angels sing:
Haste, haste to bring him laud,
The babe, the son of Mary
The babe, the son of Mary
The babe, the son of Mary

This song is usually reissued every Christmas on a seasonal rock-n-roll Christmas album.

THE COCA COLA ADS
COCA COLA AD #1
(No Author Listed)
"The Moody Blues want to work it out!"
It's a better world
Now I've got a girl
I can be sure of
Makes me want to do
All the things I do
Right for my new love
If I think about how to work it out
I'm on the right track
So I think that I'll just sit here awhile
Drinking some Coke to relax
Things go better with Coca-Cola
Things go better with Coke
Seems it's working out fine, whoa-oh-oh
Coke after Coke after Coke
"You never get tired of the taste!"
If I settle down
With some Coke around
I'm on the right track
Time and time again
I feel better when
I drink some Coke and relax
Things go better with Coca Cola
Things go better with Coke
Coke after Coke after Coke
Seems it's working out fine-woe-oo-oh
Coke after Coke after Coke
Things go better with Coca Cola
Coke after Coke after Coke
Vocals by Mike Pinder and Denny Laine

COCA COLA AD #2
Chasing the sun
A few weeks of fun
Away from the maddening crowd
We're so glad, too tired to pout
Peaceful and cool, sipping Coke by the pool
Use your imagination
Holiday time [Ahhhh...]
Everything's fine [Ahhhh...]
Free as a bird
Traffic's unheard
Racing through white crystal sand
Or watching a butterfly land
Sipping on Coke while we tan on a float
Use your imagination, holiday time
Things go better with Coca-Cola
Things go better with Coke, holiday time...
"The Moody Blues - having a holiday, with Coke!"
lead vocals by Justin Hayward
Copyright 1968, the Coca-Cola Company
COCA COLA AD #3
I'll take you for a ride in my pleasure machine
Into my world of summer green
Lift you up to heights you've never seen
While enjoying a Coke or two
Ah, and I'll say sweet things to you
We'll go to where the music stops your mind
We'll dance together in our world, too
And while enjoying Coke I'll waste no time
Darling, I'll say sweet things to you
A sweet song goes better, oh, with Coca-Cola
Things go better with Coke
"The Moody Blues - saying sweet things over Coke!"
Lead vocals by Justin Hayward and John Lodge
Copyright 1969, The Coca-Cola Company

Noches De Seda
(Spanish-Nights in White Satin)
Noches en blanco
Que no tienen final
Cartas escritas
Que jamás llegaran
Cosas que nunca vi
A pesar de mirar
No puedo decir
Dónde está la verdad.
Porque te amo
Sí te amo
Cómo te amo.
Miro a la gente
Que viene y va
Lo que me pasa
No comprenderan
Mil pensamientos
Uno solo es real
Lo que tú quieras ser
Eso es lo que serás
Y te amo
Sí te amo
Cómo te amo
Cómo te amo
Noches en blanco
Que no tienen final
Cartas escritas
Que jamás llegaran
Cosas que nunca vi
A pesar de mirar
No puedo decir
Dónde está la verdad
Porque te amo
Sí te amo
Cómo te amo
Cómo te amo
Porque te amo
Sí te amo
Cómo te amo
Cómo te amo

Al Fin Voy A Encontrarte
(I Know You're Out There Somewhere)
Y pronto volveremos a estar juntos otra vez

I would like to thank three people, Raymond Ramirez who tried to help me with this before I went on hiatus in 2002; Pedro Jover, who transcribed the words for Al Fin Voy A Encontrarte. Pedro runs the Spanish ELOZoom site for Electric Light Orchestra, my second favorite group! I would also like to thank Lito Benveniste from Argentina for taking the time to help me correct the lyrics for Noches De Seda. THANK YOU Lito and Pedro!!

Please Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood
BBC Live Broadcast (December 16, 1967)
Benjamin / Marcus / Caldwell
Baby, don't you understand me now
Sometimes I feel a little mad
Don't you know that no-one alive
Can always be an angel
When things go wrong he's bound to feel a little bad
Cause I'm just a soul who's intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood
Sometimes baby, ohhh I feel so carefree
With a joy that's hard to hide
Sometimes I spend all night alone regretting
And you've hurt me deep down inside
Yes I'm just a soul who's intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood
When I get edgey, I want you to know
That I never mean to take it out on you
Oh life has it's problems and I get my share
But that's one thing that I never mean to do
'Cause I love you
Ohhh, baby, don't you know I'm human
With thoughts like any other man
Sometimes I spend all night alone regretting
Some foolish stupid thing that you've done
Cause I'm just a soul who's intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood
I'm just a soul who's intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood

JUSTIN HAYWARD & JOHN LODGE
Across The Universe (Words and Music by John Lennon)
Sung at Live Tribute to John Lennon, May 5, 1990
Words are flowing out
Like endless rain into a paper cup
They slither wildly as they slip away
Across the universe
Pools of sorrow,
Waves of joy are drifting through my open mind,
Possessing and caressing me
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Images of broken light which dance
Before me like a million eyes
That call me on and on across the universe
Thoughts meander like a restless wind inside a letter box
They tumble blindly as they make their way
Across the universe
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Sounds of laughter shades of love are
Ringing through my open ears inciting and inviting me
Limitless undying love which shines around me like a
Million suns
It calls me on and on
Across the universe
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world

WE CAN FLY
from
"JOURNEY INTO AMAZING CAVES" (2001)
Justin Hayward and John Lodge
We can run, we can ride, we can fly
We can love, we can live, we can fly!
Standing in the shadows
Waiting for the light
Steal away the darkness
Take me home tonight
I love you for the beauty
In our lives
Treasure every moment
Never be apart
Follow every footstep
Take me to your heart
I want to feel the freedom
In our lives
We can run, we can ride, we can fly
No matter what they say
We can love, we can live, we can fly!
Standing in the shadows
Waiting for the light
Steal away the darkness
Take me home tonight
I want to feel the freedom
In our lives
We can run, we can ride, we can fly
No matter what they say
We can love, we can live, we can fly
We can run, we can ride, we can fly
No matter what they say
We can love, we can live, we can fly
We can run, we can ride, we can fly
No matter what they say.
We can love, we can live, we can fly
We can run, we can ride, we can fly
No matter what they say
We can love, we can live, we can fly
We can run, we can ride, we can fly
No matter what they say
We can love, we can live, we can fly
We can run, we can ride, we can fly
No matter what they say.
We can love, we can live, we can fly
No matter what they say
We can love, we can live, we can fly
We can love, we can live, we can fly
No matter what they say
We can love, we can live, we can fly
We can love..
